It’s not much of a surprise to Pamela Wilkinson’s friends and family that she ended up in a job where smiling is a prerequisite—she’s always been known for putting on a happy face. But it’s the spirit behind the smile that makes her the perfect addition to the altisHR team. Visitors to the company are quick to remark on Pamela’s calming nature. “Finding employment can be a stressful experience,” she says. “My job is to ease the process for people.” As the first point of contact at altisHR, she makes it a daily challenge to see how many people she can help. “The more efficient I am, the happier our clients and candidates are.” Part of the reason she’s able to be so efficient is her deep understanding of the ways altisHR functions internally. She knows exactly where to route clients and candidates to get the responses they’re looking for. Pamela’s inclination to teach and help goes back to her teenage years when she worked as a camp counselor and later as a personal trainer. She’s also a former competitive basketball player—and still has a hard time turning down the chance to step onto the court.
