A glance at her resume might lead you to believe that Charmain Smillie is all business. She holds two diplomas from Humber College: in Business Management and Financial Services, respectively. She earned a professional certificate from the Canadian International Freight Forwards Association (CIFFA). Drawing on all this expertise, she specializes in finding staffing solutions for clients in the transportation and logistics sectors. And yet she also has an artful side. To this day, she continues to enjoy music and dancing; when she was younger show won North American dance championships three years in a row - in jazz, tap and ballet. That combination of strong business sense and genuine joie de vivre makes her a natural fit on the altisHR team. To succeed in staffing, it helps to be a well-rounded person: ambitious, team-oriented and always ready to perform. "You can’t be timid," says Charmain. "You have to just go for it, do your very best." Clients’ satisfaction is its own reward, she notes. "I love hearing when clients are truly impressed by the candidates I place with them.
